Blackberries In Summer
So many things say Summer in the Pacific Northwest. Swimming holes, Dahlias, camping, perfectly blue skies and always-the blackberries. Blackberries are everywhere here and you can forage them from almost anywhere. Last summer I took myself on a solo vacation to a tiny cabin in Yelm, Washington. I figured when I got there I would pick some wildflowers to paint but when I arrived everything had already dried up. The only flower blooming was the delicate petals of blackberry vines. I spent 3 days diving into the river, collecting rocks, and painting blackberries. This card is the result of that perfect time in summer.
